Wind, Love & the Riverwalk | Mike & Carrie’s March Wedding in the Heart of Chicago

Mike and Carrie kicked off their wedding day in true Chicago fashion—embracing the wind, the city, and each other with full hearts. We started with a quiet walk along the Riverwalk, where they trusted me completely to document their love candidly. As you can see in their photos, these two are pure magic together—so in love, so much fun, and just an absolutely lovely couple to be around.

From there, we met their families outside Gibson’s for portraits, with the Chicago River and skyline standing tall behind them—even on one of the windiest days of the year. The ceremony took place across the street at TASTE 222 in the intimate library room, surrounded by books, warmth, and the love of their closest people. The groom’s mom officiated the ceremony, making it even more personal and meaningful.

Dinner and celebration followed at Gibson’s Italia, where the evening felt more like a heartfelt dinner party than a reception—exactly what they wanted. We ended the night with a final walk to capture the glowing Chicago skyline behind them, the perfect ending to a day filled with joy, laughter, and love.
